1 Introduction
Welcome to Unblocky ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how Unblocky handles information in connection with your use of our iOS application ("the App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is written to be clear, plain, and easy to understand. If you have any questions, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
2 Information We Collect
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, date of birth)
- Camera footage or images from push-up challenge sessions
- Exercise data, push-up rep counts, or workout history
- Screen Time usage data or blocked app lists
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to external servers
3 How Your Data Is Stored
All data generated by Unblocky โ including your push-up stats, daily streaks, blocked app selections, earned minutes, and settings โ is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage (SwiftData).
This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers
- Is never backed up to Unblocky's systems (though it may be included in your personal iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled โ this is controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings)
4 Camera Access
Unblocky requests access to your device's camera to enable push-up rep counting during challenges.
- How it works: The live camera feed is analyzed in real time by Apple's Vision framework (on-device machine learning) to detect body pose and count push-up repetitions.
- What we do with it: Absolutely nothing. The camera feed is processed frame-by-frame on your device and is never captured, saved, encoded, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.
- No storage: No images or video clips from your camera session are ever written to disk.
You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Camera โ Unblocky.
5 Screen Time & FamilyControls
Unblocky uses Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks โ the official iOS API for Screen Time controls โ to block and unblock apps on your device.
- Authorization: When you grant Unblocky Screen Time authorization during onboarding, this permission is stored by iOS and stays entirely on your device.
- Scope: Unblocky can only block and unblock apps on the device it is installed on. It has no remote access and cannot affect other devices.
- Data: Your blocked app list and Screen Time configuration are stored locally. They are never transmitted to Unblocky or any third party.
6 Third-Party Services
Unblocky does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. We do not use:
- Google Analytics, Firebase, or similar analytics platforms
- Facebook SDK or any Meta products
- Advertising networks or ad SDKs
- Crash reporting services that transmit data externally (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry)
- Any SDK that phones home
7 Children's Privacy
Unblocky does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations by design.
8 Data Security
Because we collect no data and operate no servers, there is no server-side data to secure on our end. Your on-device data is protected by iOS's built-in security mechanisms, including device passcode, Face ID, and Touch ID encryption.
We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and use a strong device passcode to protect your data.
9 Your Rights
Since Unblocky collects no personal data, there is no data held by us for you to access, correct, export, or request deletion of. All data management is entirely in your hands:
- To view your data โ it's all visible within the App (stats, settings, history)
- To clear your stats โ use Settings โ Clear Data within the App
- To delete all data โ delete the App from your device
- To revoke Screen Time authorization โ iOS Settings โ Screen Time
- To revoke camera access โ iOS Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Camera
